Objective
- 2007’s Live Earth music spectacular saw 24 hours of music being played by over 150 artistes in eight concerts, across seven continents.
- As the event’s global sponsor, Philips developed a communication piece for its global staff to thank them for their involvement, and to reflect on what had been achieved.
Solution
- Create a perfect-bound book and associated CD ROM, packed with vibrant imagery and inspirational copy to reinforce the message that the Philips brand, and environmental care, are intrinsically related.
- Book was printed using Resista Eco Intensive vegetable inks on a 100% ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) pulp with FSC certification and was totally recyclable.
Results
- A greater awareness by staff of their company’s involvement in environmental products and care.
- 18,551 switches to energy saving lamps made by Philips employees (and counting). That’s the equivalent to taking 1,299 cars off our roads.
