0117 launch - Promoting Bristol’s creative strengths
Bristol Media in conjunction with Bristol City Council, the Regional Development Agency and Watershed’s Bristol+ initiative have backed a project to celebrate the creative talent centred in Bristol.
Together they have produced a 250 page guide ‘0117 - Made In Bristol’ showcasing the creative strengths Bristol has to offer, from digital media specialists and design consultancies to marketing agencies.
The publication being launched at Bristol Media’s christmas party, held this year at Paintworks, the Creative Quarter of Bristol, will be used to promote Bristol as a leading creative city. Andy Parkhouse from digital agency Team Rubber says:
There will be over 30,000 copies of the guide distributed to marketing directors, national media editors, journalists, regional, national government offices and well-known London creative agencies. The first edition will feature an article about what happened when 8 top creatives including, our own MD Al Kennedy, got together ‘to talk about the good, the bad and the ugly in their city’, profiles of over 30 of the leading creative companies and entrepreneurs in Bristol and a comprehensive A-Z directory.
Bristol Media was established in 2005 and now has over 3000 members and is one of the city’s largest networks, holding regular events and actively working toward gaining national recognition for Bristol’s creative abilities. The team has been working on this publication for nearly two years and Bristol Media, CEO Mike Bennett said “We want it to have a real impact on the creative industry here by helping individual companies win more new work and attracting more creative and innovative people to come and pursue successful careers in Bristol.”
